Olive oil soap with loofah

#v17207

Create your own soap with a built-in loofah sponge that both cleanses and exfoliates dry areas like knees, elbows and heels. You use an olive oil soap base that is melted over a water bath and dyed in green shades before pouring it over the sponge with a hanging cord – ready for use and simply hang to dry afterwards.

How to do it
1 Guide step %d Pull the cord through one of the holes in the Loofah sponge. Squeeze the sponge so it fits in the casting mould.
2 Guide step %d Make two knots in the cord – one 1.5 cm from the sponge and one at the end of the two cords.
3 Guide step %d Place the sponge in the mould with the knot outside the mould in the corner.
4 Guide step %d Melt 100 g of soap per casting in a water bath in a heat-resistant container.
5 Guide step %d The soap has a delicate olive green colour without added colour. Make the soaps in different shades by adding 10 drops, 30 drops and 60 drops of green soap colour to 100 g of soap each time.
6 Guide step %d Pour the melted soap base into the mould around the sponge. The soap hardens quickly after being removed from the hot water bath – the soap can be removed from the mould after 30 minutes. It is fully hardened after 3 hours.
