- Inspiration: v16591Busts from red earth clayThis is an introduction to the Y7-Y9 project at the Herning School of Art. The Danish artist Michael Kvium's ”Fools” is known and loved by many. They have their very own characteristic looks with distorted and exaggerated features, and they are often presented with some sort of prop on their head, which emphasizes the absurd and grotesque. In preparation for the bust project, each pupil has studied many versions of Kvium's paintings ”Fools”, and each pupil has chosen the fool they want to work with. When a painting is to be turned into a bust, the pupils have to improvise a little along the way, as the paintings do not show the back of the busts. This project is suitable for Y7-Y9 pupils (seniors).
