Bowls cast from Concrete Craft and Craft Paint

1   Coat the inside of the moulds with cooking oil.

2   Mix craft paint and water.

3   Stir Concrete Craft into the mixture until a smooth consistency is reached. If the consistency of the mixture is too dry, add a tablespoon of water. If the consistency of the mixture feels too wet, add another tablespoon of Concrete Craft. The consistency of the mixture needs to be firm and musn't be too thin.

4   Pour the concrete mixture into the mould and place a smaller semi-circular mould inside the larger mould for a smooth surface on both sides.

5   We recommend placing a heavy object on top of the moulds as the inside mould may push upwards during the drying process. Leave the bowl to dry for a min. of 2 hours at room temperature before turning it out of the mould. The bowl is fully hardened after approx. 24 hours.

6   You may make two-colour bowls. Mix 370g Concrete Craft with 90ml water for the non-coloured part. Mix 180g Concrete Craft with 25ml water and approx. 20ml craft paint for the coloured part. Stir Concrete Craft into the mixture until a smooth consistency is reached. If the consistency of the mixture is too dry, add a tablespoon of water. If the consistency of the mixture feels too wet, add another tablespoon of Concrete Craft. The consistency of the mixture needs to be firm and musn't be too thin.

7   Pour the non-coloured concrete mixture into the bottom of the mould. Then add the coloured concrete mixture on top.

8   We recommend placing a heavy object on top of the moulds as the inside mould may push upwards during the drying process. Leave the bowl to dry for a min. of 2 hours at room temperature before turning it out of the mould. The bowl is fully hardened after approx. 24 hours.
