How to make a card with oil pastels

Make colourful cards with oil pastels that are perfect as small works of art or personal cards for special occasions. This kit lets you create four white and four grey artworks with oil pastels. Learn how to create colourful layers and use the hatching pen to create textures in your pictures.

First paint around the lines with your choice of base colour. Bright orange is used for the shellfish card in the picture.

Next, colour on top with white. Make sure that the colours mix slightly.

Use the yellow colour to colour the lemon using hard pressure.

Now use the white oil pastel to make the white lines in the lemon by drawing them using hard pressure.

Find the white card with the fish. Start by drawing the top of the fish, fins and tail with the black oil pastel.

Now use the dark blue colour to colour the area under the black, as shown in the picture, using hard pressure.
