1   Knead the clay well. and then divide into two pieces. One should be slightly larger than the other if you want different sized candlesticks.

2   Model the candlestick into the desired shape.

3   Press the candle cuff down into the top of the candlestick. Now model the clay around the cuff so that it is not visible on the outside of the candlestick.

4   Smooth the candlestick with water to prevent cracks when drying. Allow the candlestick to dry at room temperature for around 48 hours.

5   It can be difficult to avoid cracks during the drying process, but these cracks can be easily repaired. Start by moistening the clay with water where the cracks are.

6   Now take a small piece of clay, work it into the cracks and let it dry.

7   Paint one of the candlesticks completely blue.

8   Paint stripes on the other one. Once the paint is dry, your candlesticks are ready to use.
