A Cuddly Animal Cushion made from Tea Towels

Three Vivi Gade Design cotton tea towels are cut and sewn together to make a decorative cover with an owl motif. A stuffed pillow is inserted inside the cover.

How to do it
1. 
Fold the tea towel which is intended for the actual cover over lengthwise. Cut the sides so the folded tea towel now measures 40 x 42cm.

Cut the individual pattern parts from two tea towels with different patterns, using the template.

Use a needle and thread to tack the fabric parts onto the tea towel intended for the cover.

Use a sewing machine and sew the fabric parts onto the cover with zig-zag stitches.

Turn the cover inside out and sew the sides together, leaving a small opening of approx. 20cm at the bottom.

Sew decorative stitches in a contrasting colour along three of the four sides of the cushion cover (not the bottom).
