Wax Melter
More Information
Electric stainless steel casting pot with safety-controlled thermostat for controlled heating (30 - 100 °C). Perfect for water baths for candle making by simply pouring the candle mass into a melting pot, such as item no. 79275 ( not included ) Excellent quality. 230V - 1800W.
You can use the wax melter to cast candles in moulds or to make dipped candles. Pour water into the wax melter, lower the melting pot into it and pour the candle mass into the pot. If necessary, use a practical hood cover that holds the melting pot in place and makes it easier to keep the temperature stable ( item no. 79261 ). If you are dipping candles, you can attach a funnel-shaped collar (item no. 79297 ) to prevent spillage while dipping. Set the thermostat on the wax melter to around 70 degrees Celsius. Melting may take a few hours, especially for large amounts of candle mass. There are lots of different moulds that can be used when casting candles. Choose a candle wick that matches the thickness of your candle, so it will burn nicely and evenly.
