Small tote bag with marker design

Decorate your own tote bag to make it even more personal. Make a frame with masking tape and create a design mix in your favourite colours with textile markers. The colour is fixed in the fabric by ironing it on cotton wool heat with baking paper on top.

How to do it

Make a frame with masking tape for decorating. Place a piece of plastic or cardboard inside the bag just in case.

Choose which marker colours you want for your design. Now draw a mix of dots, circles, stripes, squares, triangles, etc. in organic shapes that blend into a pattern. Start in the upper left corner and draw all the way to the edge of the masking tape. This will result in a well-defined frame when the tape is removed.

Set the iron to the cotton setting and iron the drawing with baking paper both on top and underneath. After ironing, the pattern can be washed.
