Set a creative table in pretty pastels. Make everything yourself, from hand-embroidered napkins and handwritten menus to place cards in marbled clay and flowers made of crepe paper.

Place cards in colourful clay:   The place cards are made with 20 g white and 10 g pink clay.

2   Knead the two pieces well separately for around 4-5 minutes.

3   Make lumps of smaller pieces to knead together.

4   Combine the two colours to create a marble effect.

5   Roll out the lump to blend the colours. Roll out until the lump is around 3 mm thick.

6   Cut out the place cards.

7   Important: Preheat the oven at 120 degrees for 10 minutes. Bake the place cards for 18 min.
After cooling, you can write names on them with a marker.

Design 1:   Crepe flowers on a clay base in three different designs and with two flowers on each stem.

Cut out the pieces using the stencil. These are the various parts for the flower.

9   Twist the crepe paper to create the flower stamens.

10   Shape the leaves. Stretch the crepe leaves into the desired shape using a bone folder.

11   Glue a flower stamen around the stem.

12   Glue on the next flower stamen.

13   Now glue on the leaves.

14   Fold the flower stamens and leaves into shape.

15   Apply a little glue under the leaves and twist the crepe strip diagonally around the stem. Apply some glue to the stem in several places to prevent the twisted crepe from unravelling.

16   Twist the two flowers together onto the thicker stem. Now wrap crepe paper around the last flower stem and continue down along the thicker stem.

Design 3:   Cut out the pieces for two flowers according to the stencil as shown.

18   Twist the two flower stamens.

19   Shape the leaves as before using a bone folder.

20   Glue on the seed pod.

21   Glue the stamen around it.

22   Now glue on the leaves.

23   From this point on, follow the same instructions as before.

Design 2:   Cut the pieces to size using the stencil x 2.

27   Twist the flower stamen and glue it to the stem.

28   Glue the flower head together like a tube.

29   Apply glue to the flower stamen.

30   Slide on the flower head and glue on while squeezing it around the stem. Now glue on the leaves.

31   Glue on the strip and pull it diagonally as you roll it around the florist wire. Apply glue several times while covering the wire.

32   Attach the flowers to the stem in the same way as before.

33   Divide the clay into three parts and shape the bases.

34   Glue leaves onto the stems and insert them into the clay. Squeeze the clay around the stems.

35   Allow to dry for around 48 hours.

Embroider the napkin:   Place the template under the fabric.

37   The design can be seen through the fabric.

38   Draw each napkin in a different colour.

39   Embroider the stems on the napkins with lock stitches.

40   Embroider a French knot at the end of each stem. Pull the thread through the fabric and twist it twice around the needle.

41   Hold the thread taut and insert the needle back into same hole.

42   Finish embroidering the flower and sew on the back.

43   Fasten off the end by sewing through several stitches on the stem.

Menu:   Transfer the design to the menu by pressing with a sharp pencil.

45   Draw the design in different colours on the six menus.

46   Punch a hole for the ribbon.

47   Write the text with a coloured pencil in the same colour.
