Classic 4-ply quality yarn made of 100% wool. Perfect for felting/fulling in a washing machine.
If you love winter knitwear, you’ll love Melbourne wool – its excellent insulating capacity makes it perfect for warm, home-knit clothing. The finished knitwear can be washed by hand at 30 degrees Celsius. When washed in a washing machine, the wool becomes extra dense and strong, making it perfect for felting.

- Set the washing machine to 40 degrees Celsius and add some soap flakes and a few towels. This increases the friction and results in a more effective felting process. Use a mesh laundry bag or pillow case when fulling to protect your washing machine. The hotter the water, the more the wool will shrink/felt. Shape the wool while it is still wet
