Glass wreath created with kintsugi technique

Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese technique for repairing broken porcelain. Instead of trying to hide the damage, you highlight it. We have simplified the method slightly for this hanging glass wreath. The glass shards are glued together and then decorated with a gold marker.

How to do it

Arrange the pieces of glass mosaic in a wreath shape. Use clear hair foil as the base.

Once the glue has dried after 60-80 minutes, add another layer of glue to the gaps where necessary. Use the narrow scraper for this.

Once the glue is dry, scrape off the excess glue on the mosaic pieces using a penknife or razor blade.
