Crêpe paper wreath

#v16604

Make your own crêpe paper wreath. Shape the wreath itself using bonsai wire and then make branches, grass and flowers from crêpe paper. Use a stencil to make the flowers and, once they are all finished, tie them around the wreath. The wreath consists of two large and three small Japanese anemones, three fantasy fuchsias, two grasses and three branches. Use either a glue gun or Multi Glue. With Multi Glue the drying time is about ½ - 1 hour per step.

7   To tie the wreath: Lay the ring flat and place all the pieces loosely around where they will be placed. Now, wind each branch and flower around the stem and the ring using floral wire. Start from one side and work up in layers – then start from the opposite side in the same way. Make sure to always overlap the previous stems and wait to make the flowers in the middle until the end.

8   Here you can see the wreath from the back – the stems are twisted directly around the wreath, and are then supported with floral wire for better attachment.
