Colourful pot holders with silk paint

This is a simple way to decorate your pot holders! Draw a motif with a fabric marker and paint with silk paint. The result is graphic motifs with beautiful colours that blend into each other.

How to do it
1 Draw a motif with a black fabric marker.
2 Colour the motif with silk paint.
3 The silk paint pulls out the fabric’s fibres slightly, so try not to paint too close to the pen lines.
4 If you like, you can play around with the colours so they blend together a little. Don't choose colours that are to dark... Leave to dry.
5 Place baking paper on top of the pot holder. Fix the colour by ironing the pot holder at approx. 150 degrees for 5 minutes.
