Cast the most delightful little bubble candles out of soy wax. The process is extremely easy – simply melt the wax in a water bath and add colour to give the candles a more vibrant look. Soy wax is a 100% vegan material that produces 80-90% less soot than traditional candles.

Video guide   Get step-by-step instructions on how to make bubble soy candles.
Guide step %d
1   Measure 40 g of wax for one candle. The amount of colour depends on the desired shade of the candle – from 0.1 g to 1 g of colour per 40 g of wax.
Guide step %d
2   Melt the wax in a water bath (approx. 20 min) or use a microwave and run at full power in intervals of 30 seconds (total time of 2–3 min.). The melting temperature is between 55 and 65 degrees. Do not heat above 95 degrees.
Guide step %d
3   Add the colour and stir into the melted wax.
Guide step %d
4   Stir until the colour is completely dissolved in the wax.
Guide step %d
5   Thread a 15 cm candle wick through the candle needle. Insert the candle needle through the middle of the bottom of the silicone mould and pull the candle wick through, leaving 5 cm. The silicone will seal around the candle wick to prevent wax leakage.
Guide step %d
6   Tie the candle wick around the candle needle or use a stick to keep it securely in the middle of the candle. Pour the melted candle wax into the mould.
Guide step %d
7   Place the candle on a flat surface.
Guide step %d
8   Allow the candle to set for 6–8 hours. Cut off the excess wick from the bottom.
Guide step %d
9   Carefully remove the candle from the mould to avoid making any marks in the wax.
Guide step %d
10   Allow the candle to harden for 48 hours before lighting.
Guide step %d
11   Cast bubble candles in different shades of blue. Mix 0.1 g, 0.5 g and 0.9 g blue dye, respectively, with 40 g of soy wax.
