A wooden Christmas bauble with gold imitation metal leaf

1 Divide the bauble into two parts using a pencil all the way around.

2 Cut the gauze bandage into small approx. 3 cm pieces and soak them in a bowl of water. Attach the wet gauze bandage on the top portion of the wooden bauble down to the pencil line. Smooth the gauze bandage as you go along.

3 Fold a piece of gauze bandage into a triangular shape and soak it in water.

4 Form the top of the Christmas bauble with the wet gauze bandage triangles. Smooth out the joints to make them less visible. Leave the baubles hanging overnight to dry.

5 Paint the gauze bandage with craft paint.

6 Apply a thin layer of Fix Glue to the area you wish to cover with gold imitation metal leaf. Make sure the glue is dry to the touch prior to the next step. Attach gold imitation metal leaf onto the entire area covered with Fix Glue. Fix Glue will never dry, so make sure to cover the Fix Glue area completely.

7 Mark with a pencil where you want to paint lines; approx. 1.7 cm between each line. Go over the pencil lines with a Plus Color marker. Make a vertical dotted line between the lines as shown in the photo.
