Suitcase with Decoupage and a Crackling Effect

The beautiful natural paper is suitable for decorating many items. We have chosen to cover the lovely suitcases with papier-mâché. VTR adhesive is used for gluing. Paint the suitcase lid with Plus Color. One suitcase lid has an added layer of bronze Crackle Lacquer to contrast with the natural colours. Firstly smear a generous layer of A-colour medium glue lacquer onto the suitcase lid as a primer for the crackling. Smear on a 2-3mm layer of Crackle Lacquer using a spatula or a palette knife. Let it dry for approx. 24 hours. Then patinate on top of the coarse crackling with a small amount of Plus Color turquoise.
