Seashells decorated with decoupage and gold marker

Make elegant little seashell bowls with decoupage paper that are perfect for holding trinkets and jewellery. The shells are decorated with decoupage in beautiful designs, while the edges are coloured with a gold marker. The technique is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi that celebrates the beauty of the imperfect.

How to do it

Wash the shells well in soapy water.

Place the shell on top of whichever design you choose.

Spread it all over the inside of the shell in a thin layer.
