Rapeseed wax candles in a glass lantern decorated with dried flowers
How to do it
You will need approx. 225 g rapeseed wax for each glass lantern. Chop it into small pieces.
Melt the wax over a water bath. Don't let it boil.
Keep the wick in place with a clothes peg and place the peg across the glass lantern as shown in the photo. Pour the melted wax into the candle holder.
Leave the wax to set and trim the excess candle wick.
Decorate the glass lanterns with dried flowers. Brush a layer of glass decoupage lacquer onto a piece of plastic. A tip: you may use the packaging from the dried flowers.
Gently place the leaves in the decoupage lacquer.
Carefully apply decoupage lacquer onto the entire leaf using a brush.
Decorate the glass lantern with leaves.
Apply another coat of decoupage lacquer on top of the leaves.
