If you need to make a hole in a piece of leather or
, perhaps a piece of or very thick , then you cannot use the standard punches, where you insert the item in a small slit and allow the stamp to make the hole. Then you need a punch or screw punch. Using a punch, make hole wherever you need a hole. The punches have a shape, just like regular punches at the tip, and you just need a hammer or something else you can hit to punch a hole in the fabric or leather. Remember to use a strong base when you use punches.A screw punch is used for the same purpose, where you want to make a hole in something that is too thick to fit into one of the piston punches. The screw punch works by placing a screw in the handle to help you punch holes in your item. In our webshop, you can find screw punches with exchangeable tips, so you can get three different sized holes using the same tool. Storage for the spare tips is provided in the handle.
Do you find it difficult to use a punch or screw punch because you lack the strength in your hands? Or do you just want a punch that is easy to operate? Perhaps you need to make a lot of holes. Then you could buy a lever punch. It has a larger piston rod, so you don't have to push it down so much. Then you can definitely make all your own confetti.

Among other things, we have powerful hand punches that resemble a pair of pliers, and work in the same way. Our hand punches are available with several different motifs. Among other things, you can find hearts, flowers, and several sizes of circles. So you can make exactly the holes you need for your project.
You can also find a couple of squeeze punches. They also look like pliers, but the piston itself is facing the other way. These punches have both a butterfly and a wavy circle motif.
If you don't quite know which motif to use, or maybe you need more than one, you can buy sets with different motifs in them. You can buy sets with only Christmas motifs, and you can find sets with only everyday motifs. And of course you can find larger set with motifs for both

You may be wondering what you actually need punches for. We'll tell you this. Punches are great to have if you need to decorate something and it is important that what you do is identical and pretty. .Using a punch, you can make holes as well as small shapes – i.e. the counterparts of the holes. You can make borders on your paper tablecloth, or confetti hearts and flowers for the bride and groom. One or more punches are almost indispensable if you are going to make your own invitations to a party. The punches allow you to make beautiful holes that fit a bow, or you can make pop-up hearts or small feet if these are better suited to the party you’re throwing.
You can also make lovely garlands if you punch each strip of paper full of pretty holes before you stick them together into a garland. Or how about making pretty heart-shaped holes in your woven Christmas hearts when making Christmas decorations?
