Paintings with colour mixing
#v16370

How to do it Download the templates/recipes
1 Let the pupils experiment with primary colours and mix colours on paper and card.
2 Then paint different, naive symbols, masks, faces and birds that can appear during the colour mix.
3 Paint a piece of natural twine with black paint and place it carefully on top of the painted base. Either choose a specific shape or arrange the twine randomly.
4 Remove the twine when the black paint has transferred onto the base.
5 Give each pupil a 3D canvas and let them paint a painting based on what they have now learned.
6 You may use the colour wheel learning poster to discuss colour mixing, primary colours, complimentary colours, etc.
