How to do it
Guide step %d
1   Use the colours as they are or create pastel colours by adding a small amount of colour to white, as shown in the picture.
Guide step %d
2   Place strips of masking tape crosswise on the paper.
Guide step %d
3   Squirt blobs of paint onto a piece of cardboard or paint palette. Dip a pom-pom into the paint and dab a random pattern on the paper. Use a different pom-pom for each colour. Continue until the design covers the entire paper. Then allow the paint to dry.
Guide step %d
4   Use a brush to create the flower stems. Leave enough space for the flowers at the top of each stem.
Guide step %d
5   Dip a pom-pom into the paint. You can dip in several colours if desired. For a nice effect, dab large round dots in a circle to create a flower at the top of the stem. Allow the paint to dry.
Guide step %d
6   Squirt small blobs of paint in different colours along the top of the paper, as shown in the picture. You may want to practice this technique on a piece of cardboard before making your final painting.
Guide step %d
7   Place the spatula on the paper above the paint blobs at an angle of around 90 degrees.
Guide step %d
8   Hold the spatula at around a 30-degree angle and move it in an arc motion towards the bottom of the paper to create lines of paint.
Guide step %d
9   Lift the spatula from the paper before reaching the bottom. Allow the paint to dry.
Guide step %d
10   Squire blobs of three colours of paint in three different areas of the paper.
Guide step %d
11   Inflate three balloons – do not fill them completely – and tie a knot. Dip the end of the balloon into one of the paint combinations to make a three-coloured print.
Guide step %d
12   Press the balloon down onto the paper (if you want, you can practice on a piece of cardboard before making your final painting).
Guide step %d
13   Lift up the balloon. Several prints can be made before dipping the balloon into the paint again. Use a different balloon for each colour combination. Allow the paint to dry.
Guide step %d
14   Cut notches all the way around the cardboard tube with scissors. The notches should be approximately the same length.
Guide step %d
15   Bend the notches outwards.
Guide step %d
16   Make two circles with two colours of paint on a piece of paper or cardboard, as shown here. The two circles should have approximately the same diameter as the cardboard tube.
Guide step %d
17   Place the tube on top of the circles of paint and slide it back and forth slightly to spread the paint across the bottom of the notches.
Guide step %d
18   Press the roll flat against the paper to make a print. Experiment with making several prints on top of each other.
Guide step %d
19   Lift the roll, dip into the paint again and make more prints. Allow the paint and roll to dry, so you can use the roll to create a print in a new colour after the first layer has dried.
Guide step %d
20   Once the paint is dry, carefully remove the masking tape strips.
Guide step %d
21   Once the paint is dry, you can decorate the picture with EVA foam stickers.
Guide step %d
22   Once the paint is dry, you can add eyes. This creates a fun and colourful figure.
Guide step %d
23   Once the roll has dried, use it to paint a new circle of two or more colours.
Guide step %d
24   Make more prints in the new colours.
Guide step %d
25   Turn your prints into fun figures by drawing on arms, legs and funny faces with a black marker.
Guide step %d
26   Experiment with creating different designs on art paper, canvas or coloured cardboard.
