Jewellery with a Peace Dove

Tiny glass beads are threaded onto a pieces of beading wire which are assembled into an end cap. Attach a bead and the peace dove onto the end cap with an eye pin and an oval jump ring.

1.   Cut two pieces of beading wire each measuring approx. 80cm and assemble them in a crimp bead. Squeeze the crimp bead flat. Thread the beads onto the wires. If you mix the beads on the wires you will only need one set of beads but otherwise two sets. The necklaces must be long enough that they – when assembled – can be pulled over your head (approx. 60-65cm).

2.   Assemble the two ends in the same way as at the start. Glue all the ends together in a large end cap with Super Attak instant glue.

3.   Connect an eye pin onto the loop on the end cap with an oval jump ring.

4.   Put a bead onto the pin. Nip some of the pin off, leaving approx. 1cm and twist this to form a loop.

5.   Attach the peace dove to the loop on the pin with an oval jump ring.

6   Earrings: Put an eye pin onto the earwire. Put a bead onto the pin and nip off some of the pin, leaving approx. 1cm and twist this to form a loop. Assemble the peace dove onto the loop with an oval jump ring.

7   A bracelet: Thread each colour onto each piece of 0.5mm elastic beading cord. Each is approx. 69cm long. Tie four or five tight knots.
