How to transfer Iron-on Foil to Fabrics and Faux Leather Paper
Iron-on foil with a glitter effect is a transfer foil which is easy to cut out and iron onto smooth fabric or faux leather paper. The foil is machine-washable.
Iron-on foil consists of three layers. The bottom (soft) layer is the adhesive side. The transfer is in the middle. The top layer of the transfer foil is covered by a special thick plastic protective layer. You can use an iron directly on the thick plastic layer. Begin by cutting out a design. You can only iron on one layer of foil; it is not suitable for layered designs.
The iron-on foil can be used on smooth fabric surfaces and faux leather paper. Wait for min. 24 hours before washing the design at a low temperature (30-40°C) in the washing machine turned inside out. It can then be ironed at a low temperature suitable for wool. It is not suitable for tumble drying.
You can use a die-cutting machine for die-cutting iron-on foil designs. Place the sheet on top of a die for the die-cutting machine and turn the adhesive side up. The procedure after die-cutting is the same as described above. Small paper punches cannot be used as they are developed for paper and card.
