How to create a cyanotype print

#v17069

Fill both bottles with water and shake well. Set aside for 24 hours (lasts for around 1 year). Mix three pipettes from each bottle in a small container or bucket and stir. Use the mixture within 2-4 hours. Make the print on watercolour paper – thicker layers produce a darker colour. Allow the paper to dry in the dark for 30 minutes while preparing the design. Place the design on the paper and hold it in place with plexiglass or similar material. Leave it in the sun for 10 minutes to 5 hours until the print changes from yellowish green to greyish. Rinse the print in clean water so that it turns blue and then allow the print to dry flat.
