Create 3D art on a canvas. It's easy to get started, because it does not require a lot of tools or techniques and does not take long. You will need gauze bandage strips, a canvas, acrylic paint, scissors, a brush and a bit of water.

1   Begin by painting the entire canvas in your chosen colour for the finished picture.

2   Cut strips of gauze bandage the same length as your canvas and get a bowl of water.

3   Dip the strips of gauze bandage in the water and arrange them on the canvas one at the time.

4   Remember that if you wish to create more of an effect, you will need to build up with the strips of gauze bandage. Leave to dry overnight.
