Felt Christmas hearts with beaded cherries

1   Three of the six hearts are embroidered. Place the embroidery template on top of the felt heart and use a pointed pencil to prick the pattern all the way through the template and into the felt.

2   Cut approx. 90 cm of thread and divide the thread into two strands.

3   Sew the tip of the leaf from the back of the heart. Thread 19 beads onto the thread and secure by sewing through the same hole again.

4   Secure the thread between each bead to create the leaf shape.

5   Insert the needle from the back after sewing on the last bead. Attach eight rocaille seed beads to the stem and pierce through the marked holes. Secure the beads around the thread between each bead.

6   Follow the same procedure for the last stem, only this time use seven rocaille seed beads.

7   Sew on the two wax pearls.

8   Attach the ends to the back and cut a piece of cord for hanging. Tie a knot and secure it with a single stitch.

9   Sew the two hearts together with an edge stitch and stuff the heart before sewing it together completely.

10   Fasten off the end and cut off the excess thread.
