How to do it Download the templates/recipes
Place the fabric and motif on a soft surface like a piece of cardboard and secure the motif with tape.
Start transferring the motif by pricking holes with the needle where the pencil’s dots should be. This step can be skipped if you have a sharp pencil.
Pierce the motif through the holes with a pencil and onto the fabric. Twist the pencil around in each dot to make a clear dot pattern.
Start embroidering the flower's petals by dividing the embroidery thread into four separate threads. Sew a section of the petals with a mix of two colours – two threads in each colour.
Embroider the petals with flat stitch, starting from the inside and following the pencil line to get the shape of the petal.
Fasten the threads at the back and bring to the front, where the roots should be. Cut the cord into several lengths from 7–14 cm.
Mount the motif in the frame and apply a small amount of glue to the wooden frame if needed. Cut off the excess fabric at the back.
Repeat steps 1 – 4 to transfer this design. Divide the embroidery thread into strands and sew stems for the leaves with three strands. Sew the stems using back stitch.
