Vivi Gade Origami paper (the Oslo series) is attached to the greeting card made from natural paper. Holes are punched in the front cover with a Screw Punch. Mercerised cotton yarn is used for sewing a cross stitch motif onto the front cover.

Guide step 1
1.
Place a piece of origami paper on a piece of double-sided self-adhesive foil tape and cut out a square measuring 9 x 13cm.
Guide step 2
2.
Attach the square onto the front cover of the greeting card.
Guide step 3
3.
Print out the cross stitch pattern, available separately as a pdf file to this idea. Trim the pattern and attach it onto the front cover of the greeting card with masking tape. Now punch holes with a Screw Punch onto the printed pattern in the area where all crosses meet.
Guide step 4
4.
Remove the printed template. Embroider the front cover of the greeting card with cross stitches through the punched holes using mercerised cotton yarn.
Guide step 5
5.
Attach a piece of recycled paper over the cross stitches on the inside of the greeting card, thus hiding them. Trim a piece of recycled paper and attach it with double-sided adhesive tape.
