1   Print and cut out the template sheet, which you can find as a separate PDF file on this page. Cut out all the pieces for a flower and also cut out a green leaf. Remember to cut along the guide lines shown on the template.

2   Cut a 1–4 mm-wide fringe, making sure to leave 0.5–1 cm at the bottom. Then shape the fringes by rolling these pieces tightly together. Roll the piece between your hands until the individual tassels become thinner – you can also try twisting or bending the fringes.

3   Replace the stem of the ball with floral wire and glue the ball in place. Glue the stamens around the floral wire just below the ball.
Guide step %d
4   If you wish, you can decorate the stamens with small sprinkles of cut-out crepe paper. You can easily make the crepe paper sprinkles yourself. First cut a strip and cut fringes in it. Then, roll the strip together and cut the fringes into sprinkles.
Guide step %d
5   Shape the petals by pulling a bone folder along the back of the petals. Pull the petal gently around your thumbs in the middle to make the petal bend.
Guide step %d
6   Glue the four petals around the stamens using either a glue gun or Multi Glue. With Multi Glue, the drying time is approx. 1/2 hour.
Guide step %d
7   Cover the stem in the green strip. Stretch out the strip and glue the end of the strip to the bottom of one of the petals and then diagonally down over the flower stem to cover it. Glue the green leaf around the stem about 7 cm down.
