A large woven star made from 24paper star strips

Weave a large Christmas star from 24 paper star strips. The star is assembled from six half woven stars which are woven together without using glue.
How to do it

Cut the ends off the paper star strips diagonally.

Pull the paper star strips alternately outside and into the adjacent strip to form a square.

Take one strip and bend down. Proceed like this with all four strips. Insert the last strip into and under the first strip - and pull it through as shown in the photo.

Take the strip on the left and bend it backwards. Turn it to the left, rotate it around towards the left, push it through the hole in front and pull it through.

Press down the point so that it lies flat. Repeat with the next three paper star strips on the left side (4 times in total).

Turn the star over and repeat the same procedure as described above, making another four points.

Take a paper star strip – twist it
backwards and push it underneath and through the adjacent paper star strip as shown in the photo.

Pull the strip all the way through, so it comes out through one of the flat pointed tips - and carefully pull tight.

Continue the same way with the next three paper star strips. Insert the last paper star strip under the first pointed tip.

Turn the star over and cut off the four paper star strips that are not folded. Don't cut the paper star strips that have been used for folding. The half woven star is not finished. Repeat the steps 1-10 to make a total of six half woven Christmas stars.

Assemble the large paper star in a way so that three half woven stars meet each other at all times. Begin by assembling two stars as follows; feed one end of the paper star strip of the first star through the pointed tip of the other woven star as shown in the photo.

Take another half woven star and connect it to the other two stars by feeding one of the paper star strips through the pointed tip of the other star. Repeat with the last star, so that the three half woven stars are connected together.

Connect the next half woven star in the same manner and then connect another half woven star in the same manner.

Trim all the paper star strip ends on the inside of the large star before connecting the last (sixth) half woven star. Connect it with the four paper star strips from the previous half woven star.

Connect the last (sixth) half woven star in the same manner as the other half woven stars.

Trim the last four paper star strip ends on the inside of the large assembled star through the holes. Remove the cut-off paper star strips through the holes.
