A Hair Clip decorated with Wax Beads sewn-together
Decorate a hair clip with wax beads which are sewn together with jewellery wire and make your very own beautiful hair clip.
How to do it
Cut an approx. 60 cm piece of jewellery wire. Thread 86 wax beads so that they are in the middle of the wire. Assemble them into a ring and tie in the middle as illustrated in the photo.
Start by sewing the beaded ring onto the hole at one end of the hair clip. Now sew around the beads and the hair clip, attaching the beads in pairs.
Thread three beads onto the jewellery wire and push the needle through the last bead. Thread another three beads onto the jewellery wire and push the needle back into the first bead.
Sew the tip by sewing on the beads in pairs through the hole in the hair clip. Adjust and tighten the jewellery wire prior to tying knots. Cut off the excess wire.
Thread a bead onto a piece of jewellery wire and push the ends of both wires through the hole in the hair clip as illustrated in the photo. Tie one wire around one side of the hair clip and the beads.
Thread another two beads onto the wire. Push the needle underneath the other beads and around the hair clip.
Thread the last three beads onto the jewellery wire. Push the needle underneath the other beads and down around the hair clip.
Tie a couple of knots and trim the excess jewellery wire.
