Branches with small crêpe paper leaves
#v16701
Make your own crêpe paper branches. Each branch has 18 small leaves, but you can adjust this figure as you wish. Use either a glue gun or Multi Glue to stick the pieces together. With Multi Glue the drying time is about ½ - 1 hour per step.

How to do it Download the templates/recipes
1 Print out the template, which you can find as a separate PDF on this page. Cut out the pieces according to the template sheet – both leaves and a long cover piece. Remember to cut according to the direction of the crêpe paper's stretch.
2 Shape each individual leaf by gently pulling it in the middle (out to each side) to form a curved shape. Repeat this for all the leaves.
3 Glue the first leaf onto the end of a stem – preferably with a glue gun. Then glue a leaf more firmly so that it sits curved against the first one (see next picture).
4 Cover the stem and start at the top where the first two leaves are glued. Gently roll the strip diagonally over the stem, sticking it down firmly with Multi Glue as you do so. Place a new leaf about 1–2 cm from the top leaves and glue it directly to the stem with a glue gun. Continue to cover by winding the piece diagonally around the stem and conceal the end of the leaf with the strip. Continue until the stem is completely covered.
