The windmill consists of eight sails made from rainbow card using a template. Each sail tip is gathered in the middle with an eyelet and a stub wire and then the windmill is then attached to a flower stick using cloth tape.

Guide step 1
1.
Print the template (2 pcs.), which is available as a separate PDF file for this idea. Cut out and draw onto rainbow card and cut out. Now place the two parts on top of each other, so as to form eight sails.
Guide step 2
2.
Make a hole in the middle with hole punch pliers and assemble the windmill with an eyelet. Use an eyelet setter.
Guide step 3
3.
Make a hole in each sail using hole punch pliers.
Guide step 4
4.
Assemble all the sails in the middle with an eyelet, loosely fitted for now.
Guide step 5
5.
NB: Do not assemble too tightly as it may then prevent the windmill from turning.
Guide step 6
6.
Try to keep an equal distance between the eight sails before attaching the eyelet permanently with the eyelet setter.
Guide step 7
7.
Attach the stub wire onto the flower stick using cloth tape. Let 10cm of the stub wire protrude.
Guide step 8
8.
Use round nose pliers for bending the protruding part of the stub wire downwards over the flower stick.
Guide step 9
9.
Thread two beads onto the stub wire and then put the windmill onto the stub wire. Finish with a bead and bend the stub wire. Cut off the excess stub wire using side cutter.
