These chicks are formed from bonsai wire, covered with gauze bandage and painted with a thick coat of A-Color Glass paint. Use opaque glass and porcelain markers for adding details. The wooden icon plates are used as stands.

Image-wise (spatial intelligence): Children's spatial intelligence is enhanced when they work sculpturally with, for example, gauze bandage.

Form a chick shape from bonsai wire. You may use the printable template for guidance.
Guide step 4

Moisten the gauze bandage in water and cover the bonsai wire shape with four or five layers of gauze bandage. Smooth the bandage out between each layer. Let it dry.

Paint the shape with A-Color Glass paint which gives a white, shiny and opaque surface. Preferably apply a total of two coats of A-Color Glass paint.

Make patterns and details with opaque glass and porcelain markers.

Paint a wooden board with black A-Color Glass paint.
6.
Drill two holes in the wooden board for the chick's legs.
7.
Push the legs into the predrilled holes of the wooden stand. You may add a bit of glue.
