A Christmas Hanging Decoration from flat Silver Aluminium Wire

This hanging decoration consists of three rings in different sizes, made from wide, flat silver aluminium wire. All of the rings are made from one piece of aluminium wire formed round the circumference of shape cutters.

How to do it
1. Cut a 56cm piece of wide, flat aluminium wire.
2. Bend the aluminium wire tightly around a 4cm diameter shape cutter.
3. Hold onto the inside round of the aluminium wire and remove the shape cutter. This will loosen the outer rounds of the aluminium wire. Use your fingers to distribute the rings with a suitable space between them. (The smallest one on the inside and the largest one on the outside). Put the tape on temporarily at the joint.
4. Use flat nose pliers to bend a small loop for hanging from the narrow, flat aluminium wire. Trim.
5. Cut another piece of narrow, flat aluminium wire to secure the loop onto the hanging decoration. Use the flat nose pliers to cover all the joints.
6. Use flat nose pliers to press and secure the narrow aluminium wire very flat at the joints. Tie a ribbon, thread or a piece of fishing line to the loop.
